Blinding Light!! Cinema

CineMuerte is a nine day submersion into the depths of the world's most unique and extreme horror films.  The catalyst for the festival (which, I'm proud to say, is the first of its kind in Vancouver) was the outrage of local horror fans when Lucio Fulci's seminal zombie epic The Beyond was refused a screening in Vancouver, even after a successful run in many other major cities.  As editor of local horror mag Cannibal Culture I had many requests to organize a festival that would aid in ending the type of discrimination that the horror genre has received at the hands of local cinemas.  The festival is also an attempt to expose Vancouver audiences to fringe films that have never had local distribution, or in some cases, are normally banned in this province (as is the case with Nekromantik I and II).  So here we are -- let's hope I can pull this off.
                                                          Sincerely,
