Answers to some popular questions
Where are the movies playing?
The festival takes place entirely at the Pacific Cinematheque, 1131 Howe Street, downtown Vancouver, one street west of Granville, between Davie and Helmcken near the Law Courts. map

Where do I buy tickets?
You can buy them online (ticket prices vary) by clicking the icon next to the schedule (all online sales run through the Alamo Drafthouse site in Austin TX, but don't worry, your tickets will be at the door on the day of screening), or you can buy festival passes online or at Black Dog Video or Happy Bats Cinema for $95.

When is the best time to buy tickets?
It is best to arrive half an hour before the screening, or if possible, stop by at the first screening to buy tickets for later ones that night.

Why do I have to buy a Pacific Cinematheque membership in order to see the Cinemuerte films?
By purchasing a yearly membership, you not only are entitled to great obscure films for a year, but you are also in effect joining a private club. In doing so, the films you see are not required to be passed through the ratings board for review, because you are no longer considered 'the public', and have waived your rights to be protected by classification Board guidelines. All this means is that we can show films like Cannibal Holocaust without getting in trouble. If you were not a member, it would be legally prohibited for us to be showing you these films, as ratings are required for all films accessible to the public in Canada. The membership is $3, but this enables the Cinematheque to keep bringing in expensive, obscure films, and sometimes special guests. Please note that if you purchase a CineMuerte PASS, your membership fee is included, although you will still be required to fill out the appropriate membership form.

Where do I find the latest updates on any show changes or events?
Check this site often. Shows that are cancelled get posted on the site, as well as in the Cinematheque lobby and at Black Dog Video (3451 Cambie St. Vancouver).
